Default 2001 Honda Civic EX rough idle after warming up

New guy here

I don’t know anything about Honda’s I’m a v8 guy.

ive gotten this car for free and don’t want to put a load of money into this thing. But anyways small back story on the car

2018
cam sensor
cam seal
timing chain and all gaskets
water pump and gaskets
2 new coils
radiator
heater core
and coolant system flush and refill

today
4 new spark plugs
seafoam
and 6 gallons of new gas
Battery
80a battery fuse

the car has been sitting for 2 years untouched
and I got it yesterday and I drove it and it shut down that’s when I blew the battery use. The battery was from 2013 so it was long gone

I got it home and changed the battery and fuse and got it running it purs like a kitten until about 20 mins after running and I don’t know what’s causing it I don’t have a code scanner and I don’t trust the car to take it to a autozone or anything closest one to me is 15 mins away on a busy road

help me please
bobby

ive never seen a bad battery blow a main fuse. also that cel code you listed is relating to timing/electrical issues. something about a tdc/cam sensor which earlier in your post you mentioned you replaced. that code i find as referenced that the ecu is getting no signals from it or abnormal signals. best i can find regarding that code several mentions of it on this forum so maybe a search through the forum. i did find two mentions that a cheap knock off sensor was used to replace the original and it didn't work.

I got it all fixed I think I replaced the tdc sensor and let it idle for about 30 mins or so and let it get warm it didn’t bog down or want to shut off and didn’t throw any codes Again

and I haven’t ever seen a battery blow a fuse like that either but I was repeatedly jump starting the car also so that might have been the answer for that

sometimes you just never know and end up being the odd one who has a problem thats never happened before. i had a starter that was so intermittent in a truck i used to own i changed everything else before it was the last possible culprit. had it tested at a local parts store they were starting to get pissy with me and had to cycle the starter several times before it showed any symptoms. best part was the symptom it did finally show managed to blow the main breaker for the whole store. killed everything even the poor guy mid transaction.
