Default car won't start after battery has been replaced

i have a 2001 honda civic ex. it has been sitting in my garage not doing anything because i can bike to work for two weeks. went to start it the car, realized that battery is dead, and went to go buy a new battery. this is where the problem is...

i replaced the battery myself, and now nothing comes on. NOTHING! no dome lights, no check engine lights, nothing at all. it is like my car has no battery in it.

when i replaced the battery there was no spark. but i do know the battery is good because i was going to jump start it, connected my battery and just to check if there was a charge i checked for a spark. got a spark meaning got a charge.

i have no idea what can be wrong?!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

what the hell do you buy a new battery if yours was dead ....you just jump it off and the alternator will recharge it.

also check your battery cables they must not be tight,

i bought i new bat because it wouldn't hold a charge, and it was actually time to change it, (it was the stock battery).

well check your battery terminals make sure they are tight, turn your headlights on to see if you get a good connection

thank you for the feedback. i got it fixed.

turned out the old battery was bad regardless. the new battery was good. lines were good, as well as the alternator. the problem: fuses. the main battery fuse was blown hence no power to anything.

once again thank you for the feedback and answering my stupid questions.
