Default 2002 civic ex check engine light p0171

First off im new to this forum so hello all.

I just bought a 2002 civic ex 5 spd 2 dr 89k on it, check engine light came on a few days ago, no change in performance. Pulled a p0171 fuel system lean. I work on dodge cars for a living and we have alot of problems with our o2 sensors so i assumed and replaced the upstream o2. Light came back on the next day, i found this site and downloaded the service manual.

I started running through the test. I cant test the fuel pressure because i dont have the correct adapter. I checked the purge valve , checked ok. Next i check the MAP it reads baro pressure key on, start the engine it reads 10 in Hg on the scan tool, hook up my vacuum gauge, gauge reads 20 in Hg, replaced the MAP. Start the engine same results reading low vacuum with the scan tool. I checked continuity from the MAP to the PCM.

So i need some advice, have i overlooked something, do i need a PCM, or is the problem something completely different, thanks

I recommend that you get the appropriate adapter and measure the fuel pressure.
