2002 civic hid problems

Default 2002 civic hid problems

I bought some hids and I plugged them in and nothing came on I hit the brites and the hids came on they are supposed to be hid lows and regular bulb highs I change the wires around in the plug and got the normal bulbs to light up I changed them again and got the hids to light up no high beams still but the dash thinks the highs are on when the hids are on even know the switch is on low beam for some reason im thinking they need a relay or something else what do you guys think is going on

The 2001 - 2005 switches the grounded side of the bulb to switch between low and high-- i.e. the common pin of the bulb is the positive supply, and either the high or low pin is switched to ground to light that side. This is different from how most cars work.
