Default 2003 LX headlight problem

My 03 LX is having a problem with the headlights. The lowbeam (regular night driving) lights will not go on at all any more. The high beams still work fine and I have no problems with them. The daytime lights also work correctly still. I checked the fuses and they all seem to be working fine, so I am thinking this has to be electrical. A couple of weeks ago the light did flicker a couple of time, but not for an substantial amount of time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the combination switch on the steering column:

Might be good to check the bulbs first, if you haven't already. Feel kind of silly tearing the whole car apart only to find that the low beam filaments were burnt out all along. I think the DRLs use the high beam filaments. Also that model may have fuses and relays for the headlights in the under-hood box.

Hey guys, i'm having a similar problem with my headlight, but in my situation its only my left headlight that doesn't work. I replaced both lowbeam lights and checked both fuses and they are all good. I even swapped my right headlight with my left headlight to see if it made a difference, and no matter what light i put on the left side it will not work! The high beams work fine, any help would be great! thanks

lol943, I agree with mk, I had this happen on my old pontiac. the low beam wasn't working but the high beam was. they use different filaments. and the drl do use the high beam filament and that's why it's still working. just replace the bulbs.

civicnurse, i'd recommend that you start a new thread. it seems like you have a fuse or electrical issue since as you said, using the same working bulb from one headlight is not fixing your problem.
