I have a 2004 honda civic ex with 1.7vtec engine. All issues began after i replaced the crankshaft main seal. Since then ive had it to two different shops first shop had the head completely redone within two same problem happen where car would go into lymp mode wouldnt go over 3000 rpm and check engine light only on for catalyic converter. Then had car taken to honda dealership they replaced timing belt, water pump and camshaft sensor. Car ran perfect for about another two weeks and now having the same issue except oil is burning thru like crazy keep adding it daily i dont see any oil leaking and car isnt smoking but kept going into lymp mode and now broke down today lost complete power and wont start back up. Acts like it wants to turn over but wont. Im at a loss and don't want to continute putting $$$ into this and the same problems occur. Also in the middle of it all had all bearings replaced in transmission and had a new catalyic converter put on it blew up the same day so still currently need new one.
