2004 Civic shakes
Hi I have a 2004 1.7l Honda civic vp manual with a newer clutch and timing belt and it has been having a new problem. Lately when I I start moving while in 1st and second once already in gear it shakes for a splot second then goes back to normal. The car does need new breaks and has original suspension but I don't think that would cause this. Could anyone please help me out at figuring out the problem? Thank you.

On a level road, get up to about 45-50 mph and drive in 5th (higher than normal gear) so the engine rpm is about 2000. Then floor the gas. If you get shaking, it is probably due to misfiring. How new are the spark plugs?
If it is only that it is hard to engage the clutch smoothly to take off from a stop, the springs in the clutch disk may be broken or there is oil on the friction surface.
