The two outside brake lights on my 2005 Civic Lx do not come on, although the middle light in the back window lights up when I touch the brake pedal. Fuses seem to be ok...my horn works, and I understand its the same circuit.

Any thoughts?

Have you checked the bulbs? Always check the bulbs first, then investigate further if necessary.

If the lights are on the moving part of the trunk lid, it is kind of common for the wires to break where they flex every time the trunk is opened.
