Default 2005 Civic A/C Not Working

I have an 05 civic, the A/C works good for about a minute then it starts to blow warm air.

I had the freeon checked there were no leaks and the level was good.
When I press the A/C button the fan comes on and the light turns green.

I had it at a local shop and the owner said that it could possibly be the coil starting to break down??? He quoted me between $500 and $600.

I don,t know how he can quote when he is still unsure of the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Does the condenser fan continue to run, when the A/C blows warm? If so, the gap between the compressor clutch pulley and armature plate may be too wide:
