Default 2008 Civic LX - A/C Fan noise

Hi
I just bought a new Honda civic LX. And everything else is running smooth, but when I switch on the A/c I hear a noticeably loud motor/fanstarting. Is this usual or should I take it back to the dealer to fix the problem? When I turn the A/c swith off, the sound stops, so I presume the sound is indeed from some part of the a/c.

The fans under the hood near the radiator will start when you turn the A/C on. This is necessary for the operation of the A/C system.

My '98 Civic LX vent fan makes a HORRIBLE noise, and it doesn't matter if the AC is on, or off, or if the thermostat is set to Cold or Hot, or if the vents are set to Defrost, Dashboard, or Floorboard.

I'm not sure the radiator fan has anything to do with it, because it only does it when the ventilating fan is on, and I know the radiator fan runs in this hot Texas weather, even without the AC on.

Any thoughts on this?
