My wife came in this morning and told me she couldn't get into her car and wanted to try my key. I went out and this is what I found.

- The FOBs cause a bit of a noise inside the car but aren't unlocking the doors.
- The FOBs will open the trunk.
- The FOBs will arm the alarm. (lights flash and horn beeps)
- The only manual key hole is on the driver's side and the key itself will not turn in the lock.
- Its not cold enough here to be frozen.

I called the dealer and they just told me to call roadside.

-Now I ask the PROs!! Any ideas??

I crawled thru the trunk.

Started the car to see if it was battery issue, but it started no problem.

Hit door unlock button, 3 doors unlocked but not the driver side.

I tried pulling the lock lever to unlock but it won't move at all.

 

Took it into Honda and luckily they had another person with 2012 sedan with the same issue. They replaced something in the door handle then re-greased the linkage wire.

I used my iPhone to take a video of everything when it wasn't working. That was very valuable because they wanted to hold my car over night so that they could see how it didn't work. I pulled up the video and they set up an appointment for it to get fixed.

 

My 12 Si trunk will not unlock with the fob. It worked once and the man release works. I hate to take it in for anything but will anyway. I'm sure some sob will want to "road test" the car.
