My 2012 Honda Civic is having major computer issues. When the gas light, oil change or general service messages flash on the dash screen, it flashes like every second with an annoying ding. Every time I clear the alert, it just comes back over and over again. Now it’s happening with the low tire pressure alert. Please help, it’s literally appearing on the dash screen and dinging every second!

 

I opened my case with Microsoft, but actually got a breakthrough on this without their help....What fixed my constant flickering/flashing issue was the application compatibility mode settings. Per the vendor, I had it set to XP SP3, however, on a whim I decided to change it to Windows 8. This immediately fixed my issue. So CHECK YOUR COMPATIBILITY MODE settings and play with them. I'll update again if Microsoft has anything else to add, but this fixed an issue I have been battling for a long time.
