2nd gear grinds when getting on it

2nd gear grinds when getting on it
OK, so when I'm driving my car pretty fast probably 1 out of every 15 times, it grinds when going from 1st to 2nd.
I shift the same exact way practically every single time. I'm wondering if I'm doing damage to my tranny when it grinds,
AND, is this grinding being caused by me alone, or is there something potentially wrong with tranny. 145,098 miles.
I replaced the stock clutch with a Exedy Stage 1 clutch.. 15,000 miles ago if that helps.
