Default 4 Electrical Problems in one day

4 electrical problems surfaced in the same day, which leads me to believe they are all related..

1.
The power doors no longer work, with the remote, or with the lock/unlock switch on the drivers door.

2.
When using the Remote Starter, it sends a continuous start signal, when the car starts, it still tries to start until i shut it off.

3.
The A/C clutch does not turn on.

4.
The parking brake light is constantly lit up

I checked Fuses and Relays with a multimeter, they seemed fine..

Any ideas?

1-2. idk
3. check the compressor clutch relay
4. parking brake light is designed to also come on when you are low on brake fluid. Fill the brake master cylinder.

If it's an 01 to 05 model, those functions are all in the Multiplex Control Unit. Except the remote start, that would be aftermarket.

2001 LX - 4 door - Automatic

Would this fix the issue? provided it is the MCU

http://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine...0-S5A-A31.html

Honda Part 38200-S5A-A31
Genuine Honda BOX ASSY., FUSE

The MCU is built into the fuse box and cannot be replaced individually?
Can you confirm?

Default MCU fun

Well, the last owner kind of ignored my correctness, 2 for 2 perhaps ?

Otherwise, for MCU location and removal, get your nose into a genuine honda manual, free to download if you look, probably.

BTW, asking for technical help is simply pissing in the wind if you don't reveal the year and model.

The last thing installed in my car was a remote car starter in December.
I'm wondering if it is related since thats the only electrical Modification that has been made.

I havent had a chance to inspect the MCU yet

Replaced the old fuse box with the new one,

Results:
AC works
Power Locks Work
Door Chime Works
Intermittent wipers work
Parking Brake Light is off
Remote starter works.

Online price of fuse box $149 + shipping
Honda price $379.00
I read people were charged 4 hours labour plus the part which was in the range of $800.00

Hope this helps people in the future, the Multiplex Control Unit on the FuseBox was at fault.

Default 01 Civic EX - Same Problem

I have an 01 Civic EX - same problem happened Today ironically, Dome light does not light while door is Open, Power locks don't respond to remote or door switch, A/C does not cool, and Brake light stays lit on dash.....

All forums/threads point to MCU under steering column,
Honda Part**** 38200-S5A-A31, about $150 bucks online from Honda parts now. Will let you know what happens when I replace it.

Honda Part**** 38200-S5A-A31, Fuse Assy.
