Default '95 honda civic electrical problems

me car died while it was runnning. i was warming it up and it died. we have traced the problem to something in the distributor. can anyone help?

no one make fun of me. yes, im telling her to get a haynes manual. no i dont work for haynes, maybe they should be payin me as much as i reccomend them though. but anyway, Fierychick, get a haynes manual and it will show you how to test it to find the problem with a voltmeter/multimeter. its probably the ICM, that litle brown box, or the coil, but my bets on the ICM. where are you located? you may luck out and someone may be close enough to lend you a hand with this. i will if your near Sacramento CA. BTW, its almost as much for the stupid ICM as it is for a distributor, check haprecycling.com. they are kinda expensive, but they have just about anything.

i just called hap recycling (they are local for me) and they said 75 bucks for the ignitor. if you test it and thats what it is, id be willing to go pick it up and ship it to you for like 5 bucks. do you have paypal?

actually, i just checked with my bro, and he says he thinks he has one, if so, ill sell it for 50 shipped. if not, ill still pick up and ship the H.A.P. one.

Haynes, shilton all those manuals suck big B@!!$ They're always for like 3-5 years for 2-4 diferet models. IN ONE BOOK! Their pictures suck too, they use old dirty cars that it's hard to tell what is going on in the picture!! no offense to you sacicons, but.... they suck.

My engine is not starting however I still seem to have spark. Therefore is my ICM and coil good?
