Default 4 way flasher switch sending power to ignition

Got a wierd one. I have 93 Civic DX 1.5. My 4 way flasher switch is sending power to my ignition. Once the car is started it won't shut off without pushing button for 4 way flashers or disconnecting. When plugged back in it's just like turning the key to the on position. Ironically flashers are not working, no turn signals lights ethier on dash or outside. Flasher button also is turning on and off marker lights. Can a bad flasher relay cause this?

Look for any aftermarket alarm stuff under the dash.

Interaction between the flashers and the marker lights is usually because the bulbs are not grounded, or the wrong type bulbs have been installed.

If I were in the mood to just throw parts at it, the hazard button would be the first one. It controls the crossover of power from the always live feed used for hazards and the ignition-switched feed used for regular blinkers.

Thanks MK, It does have an aftermarket alarm and we have had all kinds of problems with it. I was going to take it all out anyway so that sounds like a great place to start.
