so i have recently had some problems with shorting.i have also had problems with my temp gauge.the stereo would cut off when i turned on my headlights and my temp gauge would ride high.i had the fan connected to a toggle switch as well.i disconnected the fan and hooked it back up to the orig connections.so any way,i replaced my ground from engine to frame with an 8 gauge wire and i have had no more problems.i need to replace the relay for the fan but it has been around 32 to 35 degrees and i drive a lot of freeway.has any one else had these problems and had the same results?

 

upgrade all of the grounds not just one. and upgrade the wire from the alternator to the fuse box... outside of that it sounds like you have wiring problems and will need to track them down and repair/replace them. not fun but may need to be done.
