88 hatch----NO START
Hi Everybody,
I'm new to the forum. Just picked up an 88 Civic hatchback. It has Koni shocks, Newspeed springs and strut bar, Akimoto intake, header and tweaked exhaust. Engine runs great but rusty (yah, its been Chicago all its life) I bought the car for $65.00 anyway, after owning it for a few days I have this intermittent--no start condition. You turn the key on and you hear a relay (the one in the upper left of the drivers foot well) but no other sound. After a while of trying the key it will crank and start perfectially. What is the current flow from thekey in start position to what else needs to happen in its sequence to make the starter motor turn. Or based on you guys past experience where should I be looking?
Thanks for the help,
J.B.
