89 honda civic lx engine question

so I got this car yesterday the head looks good even though the timing belt broke, my brother is going to remove the head to see if there is if any vaulves are bent or and of the pistons have any holes in them, but any ways my question to you all is is the 1.5l pgm engine interferance or noninterferance engine. It's an interference engine, but don't take the head off yet. Sometimes you are lucky and the valves don't crash. Put a new timing belt on and try if it will start. Or you can run a leakdown test to see if there is any valve damage.
