Default 90 Ciivi w/D16AZ motor problems

My nephew hasthe above mentioned car and it has developed a problem. Ever now and then it will not crank. Just turns over and nothing. I found today by disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting 10 or so seconds then hooking it back up it would crank right up..

Any Ideas on what is causing this?

Default RE: 90 Ciivi w/D16AZ motor problems

Is the engine no-start condition associated with weak engine cranking by the starter? If so, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery may have improved electrical contacts between the battery terminals and connectors. Try cleaning them well to see if this resolves the problem.
