91 Civic Engine Heistation
My daughters hasa 91 Honda Civic, 16 valve, 4 cyl. Here is the problem: from time to time there is a brief hesitation when she is driving. Everything goes along fine and then the enging will have a noticable hesitation. It does not appear to be tied to tempeture, or length of time the cars has been driven.
There had been a leak in the valve cover gasket so the gaskets and plugs have all been replaced. My first guess was the fuel filter but I know almost nothing about this car so I may be way off base.
Hopefully someone can provide a suggestion as to what the problem may be.
Thanks
Mark

A friend of mine had a similar problem, if I remember right he had a bad injector; ever now and then it would not inject the fuel, and it would seem to hesitate for a brief second, and go back to normal... like i said, I believe that was his problem, so you might want to check that out if you have the time.

Do you know how to diagnose somethings like that?

when i had 2 bad injectors i took a volts meter and tested them youll have to find the specs on what it should be but on mine i tested them 2 were the right spec and two went skitzo changed the skitzo ones and it runs great
My 94 Civic is also having a slight hesitation usually in 2nd gear around 3000 to 4000RPM. It either does not happen in other gears or is soslight that it is undetectable.
So far I have replaced the distributor, rotor, wires, and plugs. I have adjusted the idle speed according to the Honda procedure. I have also put 2 cans of injector cleaner through the tank. I do plan to check/adjust the spark timing.
I have seen a lot of suggestions here, but has anyone else with this problem actualy corrected it? If so, how?
Thanks,
TJ
