Default 91 civic lx t. belt

i am thinking of doing this job myself anything to look out for. also im wondering if the motor will kill valves if it breaks. from what i can tell no one actually knows which years hit valves.

answer: YES. yes for all civics.
aint no fun job - jack up engine - although only need to a little bit.
remove motor mount.

some people have said it is tightest bolt on the car...any tricks to it?

go to a shop pay them 10-20 dollars and have them loosen it up for you,, once loose, just tighten it with a wrachet and socket, tight enough so it wont come off while you drive the car home to do the job ..

ya, i broke enough scoket extensions on the axl nut......it would be a nightmare to strip the thing

i use a piece of rebar that is about 12 inches long. there are holes in the sprocket and i insert thru the hole and it gets wedged underneath the lip of the engine. the other end of the rebar gets wedged into steering or suspension parts (dont remember exactly).
i have used 3/8 ratchet - but 1/2 should be the one to use.
