Default 92 CIVIC 1 OWNER NEEDS ASSISTANCE

THANKS IN ADVANCE....

JUST JOINED THE FORUM... MY SON OWNS A 92 CIVIC DX AUTOMATIC...
187,000 MILES ON IT... BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE NEW!
LAST NIGHT HE DROVE TO MY HOUSE... AND WE WERE SUPPOSE TO INSTALL A COLD AIR INDUCTION KIT IN THE CIVIC... BUT STUPID ME WENT TO SHOW HIM HOW TO MAKE HIS CAR THEFT-PROOF...
WHAT I DO ... IS TO PULL TWO SPARKPLUG WIRES OUT... CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRANK OVER BUT NOT START...
SO THATS WHAT I DID...IT CRANKED BUT DIDNT START....

I PUT THE WIRES BACK ON THE PLUGS AND WENT TO START THE ENGINE.... AND IT DIDNT START... IT CRANKED... BUT NO SPARK...

SO ALL TODAY, I CLEANED OUT (SPOTLESS) OIL THAT WAS AROUND THE SPARK PLUGS (DIDNT REMOVE SPARK PLUGS) AND STILL NOTHING...
CAN U STEER ME IN ANOTHER DIRECTION? HOW DO I SEE IF I HAVE SPARK?
ANYWAY... IF U HAVE THE TIME TO RESPOND THANKS... IF NOT NO PROBLEM...

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME...

JOSH

Could've burned out the ignition coil. Take the distributor cap off and try to get sparks from the spring on the end of the coil. If you have sparks there but they're weak little, it's almost certainly a bad coil.

Best simple way to discourage theft is to take out the fuel pump fuse.
