Default 93 civic engine swap problem(wireing)

Hey guys. im new here, just picked up a 1993 civic dx.
my problem is that it has a d16b motor that was put in it before i bought it.
ive noticed multipal sensors arent even pluged in and no wires to have pluged into them. the motor that was in the car stock was non-VTEC so im im wondering what do i need to do to the engine to make it smog legal and to just work properly. just a wiring harness that is VTEC or what?

thanks

CEL = check engine light (see my avatar picture)

What are the driveability problems?

Can you post pictures of the disconnected sensors?

haha ok. the engine light is on, i cant find the plug-in to see whats wrong to save my life tho. and i can post pics tommorow, dont have any light in the garage. ubt its the sensor on the throttle body right where the intake hooks up, and the sensor that appears to be on the block, mabey the head tho above the thermostate. those are the two i can see.

my biggest worry is that im told it wont pass smog, also that the VTEC doesnt work if its not pluged in.

thanks guys

Click the CEL link in my signature to help you locate the service connector. When you locate the connector, pull the codes and post them.

The diagram below will help you identify the disconnected throttle body sensor. The other is probably the VTEC solenoid.

ok, first off, i ttok pics of the two sensors but my phone wont send pics today :8. by looking at the diagram it is the MAP sensor on the throtle body. the other one im assuming is for VTEC cuz its on the head and when i pulled the codes i got two of them

21 VTEC spool solenoid valve
22 VTEC pressure valve

so does that mean that my ecu WILL work with this motor and i just need some type of new wiring?

The MAP sensor is one of the most important sensors on the throttle body. Without it hooked up, you are going nowhere fast.

ok, did some more looking. on the vacume line diagram it shows the map sensor being remote, not on the throtttle body. i found it and that map sensor is plauged in, so i should i plug that into the sensor on the throtle body?
