What year and model Civic do you have?

How do you know the starter is good?

Does your ignition switch work?

Edit:

Check whether fuse 41 or 39 in the under-hood fuse relay box is blown.

Also check whether fuse 12 or 24 in the under-dash use relay box is blown.

When you attempt to change the alternator without disconnecting the battery, there's a very good chance of blowing one of the main fuses in the underhood box.

If you did disconnect the battery, make sure it is securely reconnected, also check the main fuses. There's a chance your new alternator is shorted or you have the big white wire at the alternator touching ground by accident.

Bump back to page 1. The main fuses are in the fuse/power distribution box next to the battery, they are larger square units held down with screws instead of plugging in.
