My 94 Civic stalled when I switched from d4 to reverse. I tried starting it up again but no success. Tried jumpstarting it but that didn't help either. What should I be looking for?

Tell us, does the engine turn over or is the whole thing dead? If it turns over do you hear the fuel pump pressure up the fuel lines when you turn the key to the on position? Is there spark? Is the distributor rotor turning(sign of broken timing belt) when the engine turns over.
