maybe i should have chimed in - talking about the valve guide oil seals (not the guides themselves).
take a small vice grips and just get it on one of them where there is a good grip (do not grip too hard or it will crush it onto the guide), and pull up on the seal and it will come off.
i had a small rubber block and took a large screwdriver and plyed one up; but it was harder doing it that way.

The clearance on the new valves and the old valve guides was acceptable. I've installed the new exhaust valves and reassembled the head. The old intake valves were checked for tolerances and they are also fine. All the wear and tear was on the exhaust valves. Here is a pic of the new exhaust valves in the same location as the first pic submission. Thanks for the support! I am going to remove the pistons this weekend to change the rings. Wish me luck! LOL!

same as mine - i had to replace 4 exhaust valves (and oil seals - as posted)
lot of measurements that i did not make - just eye inspection.
lucky me - everything turned out ok here.
