Default 95 cx running rich....really rich please help

hey guys ijust boughta 95 civic hatch.unfortunatly the @$$ that sold it to me forgot to mention the broke head bolts. well after the easyout snaped in the blockit was time for a new motor. since i just blew my cash on the new whip i was broke so i took my d15b7 out of my 93 four door( had a blown valve) and swaped it. well all was good or so it seemed. its burning fuel lke crazy. there is a big cloud of smoke behind me when i drive and its enough that on the highway at 70 mph i can still see smoke. me nor my mechanic knows whats wrong. the is no check engine light. every thing was good on the engine before the swap. could i t possible be the ecu? thats all i can think of. i would swap the one from the four door but i ebay chipped it before reading the forum on it and dont want to ruin anything. i blew 2 valves in two weeks. pullin my head once a week isnt somthin i wanna be doing. and i figure its cause of that chip that i was blowin valves please help thanx guys

There's your problem. The d15b8 and d15b7 are different. the b8 is sohc 2valve per cylinder. The b7 is sohc 4 valve per cylinder. Did you change the ECU?

The engines are different. Each type of engine has a different ecu. Not too bad of a mistake, but your mechanic should have known this. Shame on him. lol

you can still take the head off depending where the bolt snapped. undo the others that are not broke lift the head completely off, use some grips to undo the broken one there should be no pressure to undo the bolt. go to a scrapyard and take some from the same engined car these are reuseable as they are not strech bolts. OR you can drill into the top of the broken bolt using a bolt extractor (looks like a screw but the thread is the other way round, so as it tightens into the bolt it will start undoing it). hope this helps

i forgot to mention you drill a hole and then use a bolt extractor these are fairly cheap you should be able to pick a set up for about $20 these are very useful
