96 civic alternator fuse problem
Hello Everyone
I'm new to the site so please be gentle
. I have a 1996 4 door civic. I was driving it and the speedometer suddenly started going up and down and my check engine light came on and the car acted eratically. I stopped and checked over the motor and I pulled out the plug in the back of the alternator and the car ran fine except I didn't have a speedometer and the check engine light was on. I got it home and replaced the alternator. It was fine for about 20 minutes then it blew the alternator fuse (7.5 amp), and it keeps blowing them. What could be the problem here? I seen in the manual that the fuse is also for the SP sensor. Could this be blowing my fuse? Any input would be welcome. Thanks for the help everyone
