Default blowing the alternator sol. valve fuse

Im new here and would appreciate any advise. I just bought a 91 civic DX four door coupe that ran great before I started screwing with it. The issue I was trying to solve was a seat belt alarm that would not go off, so I was trying to locate the alarm and disconnect it. Well in the process of unplugging and plugging in connectors around the fuse panel trying to locate it, the dash instruments and lights stopped working. So I started the car and proceeded to see if the speedo would work, I backed up started forward and the engine died, come to find out now the alternator solenoid valve 10 amp fuse keeps blowing and I dont know what to do, so I thought you all might know. thanks

Speedo is mechanical before 1992, if the car moves it will work. Now to get the car moving again. Plug everything back in. Check for frayed wires under the hood, etc. I don't think it would have anything to do with the seatbelt controls but you can look up the diagram for the car and disconnect everything connected to that fuse, then reconnect it one at a time and see if fuse blows.

Hondas have a lifetime warranty on seat belt malfunction. Take it to a dealer for that.
