fuse keeps blowing
Well the other day I got in my car and went to turn on the lights, and the gauge cluster lights didnt turn on. I checked the fuse and it was blown. I replaced it and tried again. It blew again. Then to make sure I tried a 3rd one. Blew that one too. I even tried replacing the cluster. The fuse is for the taillights, panel, and license plate lights i think. Any idea whats wrong? BTW its a 1995 civic DX.

RE: fuse keeps blowing
Short circuit to ground somewhere. Buy a bunch of new fuses and try disconnecting stuff until the fuse holds, the short must then be in a part that is disconnected. I think the lights can be unplugged in the trunk. Also disconnect the yellow lights on the front corners. You can isolate the panel lights by unplugging the dimmer unit on the dash.
Unfortunately this is often caused by damage to one of the wiring harnesses, which requires taking a lot of stuff apart to get at the harness for a visual inspection. Fortunately it is constantly shorted. An intermittent short can be almost impossible to find.
