Default 96 civic shocks

My rear tires are kicked out badly, I took it in to the alignment center and they said my upper control arms needed to be changed first. To make sure that was all I took it elsewhere for a second opinion (just someone who deals with cars) and they said it LOOKS like my shocks are bent and also my control arms. This was a few weeks ago, but I just got bored and decided to have a look for myself and I saw that the control arm is NOT bent, just the rubbers are broken so I gotta change those definitely. Can someone tell me if my shocks really are bent? I would hate to have to get other shocks when I don't need them ( I'm supposed to be getting some tonight but please lemme know if it's un-necessary. I'm thinking it has something to do with the control arms being worn. Here are some pics.
