Default 96 honda civic No spark

I have a 96 honda civic with the single over head cam enigine. It stop on me on the way home form work. It has 165000 miles. Fuel pump is working, main reley appears to be functioning. I hook up a timing light to the number one plug and observed the light while cranking engine. No spark. Timing belt is ok. Can it be the coil? Checked cap and rotor button. Even switch out with an older one that I keep in the trunk. Can you all point me in the right direction?

Btw the fuses are ok and I saw on the net that you can hook up a test light to the negative terminal of the coil and it lights up when the engine is turned to crank but it does not flash.

Does the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil have battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

You need to resistance test the coil and have the ICM tested by an auto parts store.

I am positive that the coil was defective, but I replaced the whole distributor and now Dr. Green runs. I will keep you updated. Thanks for the help.

I did. Power at the negative test light flashed when cranking engine at the negative terminal. No spark. I decided to replace dizzy just because the parts are old and did not wan't to risk another break down. I tested the resistance of the coil and it seem to be in spec.
