This is for my mother. She has a 97 Civic which first presented with A/C fan problems. The fan's first two speeds quite working, that wasn't really a problem, but now there is no A/C. The car has two hundred something thousand miles and until my mother can find a 5+ passenger vehicle that get 50+ mph, it is the only car she wants. She expects to get 300k easily on this car and she is as stubborn as a mule, which is why we need to fix it ASAP!!! Life will be much easier then! Then there is the fact that the car was half totaled a few months after they bought it. A 14k car with 7k damage on the back half of the car. (She has a history of progressively wrecking cars when she gets a new one. The last car was a Maxima that she wrecked the back drivers side of because of one of those moving south Georgia pine trees, darn trees always getting in her way; she really needs a tank!. Thecivic waswrecked because of a trash can beside the road, it committed suicide; there was a small funeral for it. So if you have any suggestions for future cars that are not on the market yet that will seat 5+ people and their stuff and get 50+ mph with the safety of a tank, let me know!) My father and I plan to fix it but are having problems locating schematics for the A/C system since Honda's have more complex A/C systems and sensors than domestics. We have history being able to fix things considering we come from a long line of southern farmers and prefer to do the work ourselves. Thanks for the help.
