Default 97 EX idling and cruise control issues

Hey peeps!! Got a 97 EX stock. I was at the gym waiting for my work out partner and the car started idling funny. I noticed the check engine light came on also. It idles from like 2,500 to 1,000 rpm. As I was driving home I tried to set the cruise control and the green light would come on saying cruise was engaged but the car wouldnt hold the speed. It was like it thought it was holding the speed but it wasnt. It would just act like I was letting off the accelerator. Any ideas??? You guys have always helped me out in the past and I am sure someone knows whats up and how to fix it!! Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like you have a leak in the vacuum system. Check vacuum lines and connections to and from the vacumm tank and actuator assembly (picture).

Also retrieve the CEL code at AutoZone (free) or by the method described here (free):
