Car wouldnt start

jumped it, checked alternator and battery, alternator was putting out right amount of power but the battery had a bad cell

replaced battery

bout 10 days later check engine light came on

next time i went to start it nothing happened

wont take a jump

i see a little flicker of light on the vent button for a split second, when i turn the key

and maybe hear the whirring of the fuel pump?


Also wont shift into neutral



Any comments suggestion questions would be hugely appreciated

is it a manual transmission? if so your clutch interlock might be faulty.

 

Likely a bad connection at the battery. Turn the light switch on to establish a load on the system. Measure voltage at the battery posts (confirming the battery is live)-- then at the terminals.

 

Its an automatic

MK- i imagine you mean the headlights?

Will call over a buddy with voltmeter and try that out

I am almost close to getting it towed and getting screwed by a mechanic... ouch

Issue solved

It was a bad battery connection

Replaced the terminal clamps and resolved the issue
