Exclamation 98 civic coupe not starting

i recently bought a 98 coupe..this car is like Frankenstein...98 engine 95 block and 95..weird idk what the person was trying to do..so i put a new head and cars running good...im going to work and car just cuts off so i think its the battery so i jump it starts but turns off..so i get a new battery and the cars working good...couple days later car wont turn on..turns out something is draining the battery? i did the test where u take off the positive piece of the battery while car is running and it stayed on so the alternator is good...could it some wires messed up? my fuses are good...or could it be the starter? someone help me out

Don't disconnect the battery with the engine running. The test doesn't actually prove much, and it is prone to cause a power surge that can burn out electronic parts. The proper test is to use a voltmeter and measure the voltage at the battery with the engine idling; everything else electric switched off. If it's less than 13.5 volts you have a charging problem.
