Okay so this is my first post on here. I just recently bought a 1998 civic ex with the d16 vetch. (I think it’s vtec) with a manual trans. The guy I got it from said it lost its spark. He said he put plugs, wires, crank sensor, distributor, and a different ecu. What I’m wondering is the cam position sensor in the distributor? Also, if he put a used ecu in, does it have to be flashed? If it’s some kind of security issue, would the fuel pump run? When I turn the key on, I hear the pump cycle but when it’s turned over, there is no spark. Has anyone else had this problem or may know something for me to check? Thanks in advance.
