Default 98' Dx 5-speed transmission replacement

Anyone have any experience changing manual transmissions on a 98' dx coupe? I got a deal on a car with a noisy transmission and I want to replace it with a used one from a junk yard. I'm just not sure how bad of a job it will be. Never done a transmission replacement on a FWD car before. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It's pretty easy. Transmission comes out of the bottom of the car. If you don't have a lift, raise the front end up about a foot and support it securely on jackstands thru the entire procedure. Note that most of the motor mounts are attached to the transmission so you have to remove them completely while supporting the flywheel end of the engine. The axles aren't a big problem. They snap into the transmission so after draining the oil (if any is left) out of the tranny, pry the axles with a big screwdriver until they pop loose. You need to undo the lower ball joint on the right side of the car and swing the wheel out to pull the axle completely free. Since you'll move the transmission to the right to remove it, the left CV axle will just fall out without having to do anything at that wheel.

Find some instructions for replacing the clutch, as that job requires removing the transmission from the car.
