98 EX Problem HELP!!
98 Honda Civic EX Manual
Here is the problem:
we tried to pop the clutch to jump the battery, and we heard something pop. So, the next day, we jumped the car w/jumper cables and it started fine. Except now the car doesnt move.
The car goes into the gear and is running but when you hit the gas the engine just rev's and the spedo moves but the car doesnt actually go anywhere.
Any idea what this problem could be?

Yeah, you have to let the clutch out. Ha, just kidding... I don't know, I'd say that something may have broken and the clutch fluid poured out but I think that would make it engange all the time, so I don't really know, somone else will be along to help you out.
Welcom to the Forum by the way.

You said in gear. Does that mean you engage the clutch and put it in gear and when you let out on the pedal it doesn't move?
Also you said the speedo moves, did you mean "speedo" or did you mean the "tach?"

yeah the car goes into gear and the clutch engauges...
Im possible thinking it might be the differential inside the trans beecause with the car on jack stands only the passanger side wheels moves. The drivers does nothing.
Yes the speedo as in speedometer moves.. as well as the tachometer.

maybe the driveshaft(s)/axel(s) poped out or the splines were stripped. Try to see if the 2 axels are in correctly if so, lift both wheels, and try turning them while in gear while holding the other. If you suspect one is stripped pop that one out and check the splines first before you condem the diff itself.
