Default 98 honda needs help!!!

I have a 98' Honda civic ex. I was driving 90mph on the highway and when I hit a dip I lost control and moved the gear to neutral while I was driving. I had to pull over and my gears locked and the rpms were at 4 and the sound of the car was still revving. I wasn't able to pull the car so I towed it home on the flat bed.
My main concern is can I fix it myself or do I need to get my transmission fixed. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

So, you shifted to neutral and now the car want go back into gear? It would help if you confirm weather this is an auto or manual trans. Did you hit anything?

Sounds like he just shifted to neutral while driving; while scary, I'm not sure certainly would have damaged anything. I shifted into reverse on my old accord while driving 70 on the interstate when I hit the shifter to catch a CD falling off my dash. It didn't seem to do anything to the trans and must have had some lockout system.
