98 LX high idle
Hey all, sorry if this has already been a topic, i searched and i couldnt find anything too similar... heres my question.
On startup my 98 sedan runs at about 2000 or 2500(is that right??)rpms. Turn on the AC or heater and it goes down a bit, drive it and it goes down a bit as well. When im stopped at lights it shakes like a paint shaker until i hit the gas to get going again. Seems a little sluggish as of late too. Now im not mechanically inclined but i do know a thing or two about maintenance so i checked the following:
Radiator fluid:a bit low, but i fixed that.
Oil: totally fine (but about 100 miles away from oil change)
Air filter:kinda dusty, beat it out.
Visual test of hoses: looked good, no cracks
It hasnt had a check engine light so no codes for you all. Oh another thing, it seems to run better in cooler weather. I keep an eye on the dash heatometer(i know that not the right term lol) and it stays below the half mark but my town gets to be about 100 degrees for the summer so i want to catch it now while its still kinda cool outside
Now after i did the previous things it started to run slightly better after driving it around town a bit. Im due for a tune up but before i do that i wanted to get some input. Any ideas?

Probably should still get that tune up though.
