I have a 99 ex and I ordered front rotors calipers and pads from brakeoverstock.com. the first set I ordered wrong. Its was for an hx, so the rotor didn't fit. I have ordered the correct brakes and have them now. The calipers that came with the first set where black. The new ones that came with correct set are red.I want the black calipers. The calipers also come with a new mounting bracket.

My question is will the hx calipers fit my ex? And will the ones for the ex fit an hx. I want to sell the hx set with the red calipers can keep the black ones. The black caliper is a little smaller than the red.

There's your answer, it's not going to fit. The EX has larger brake parts for better performance. (The HX has a high-mpg engine with the rest of the car otherwise standard performance like a DX or LX.) The size of the caliper has to match the disk. You can use high temperature paint to make them whatever color you want.
