Default problem

my civic kept on loosing power and when it does that i have to step on the gas so the power will kick back up without the car dying? does anyone know or have an idea what can it be.

well, you need to pull the codes to see why the CEL is on.... I am assuming from your name that you have a 91, although more info is always nice

Found via google search

oh, in that case you need a code scanner. you can either buy one or most auto parts stores will scan the codes for you and tell you what they are. Tell us what codes you are getting and we can help you from there

autozone will pull the CELS for you for free. they'll give you a code. write it (or them) down and search the net for what the codes mean.

whammo! problem solved!
