Default Ac comp/mag ctch fuse BLOWS (#14) 96 EX

Long trip, drove 19 hours straight in pouring rain, last 2 hours low beams went out.

Replaced both next day (One was shot, element was broke) but dropped one of the old beams, could not find it and drove away.

AC started blowing warm. Pulled over and found the old headlight beam inside the fan shout obstructing free movement of the fan.

Pulled it out to free up fan and found the # 14 fuse burnt(compressor clutch)...Replaced it and it blew out again so I took the fuse out of #15 (cooling fan) beside it and put that fuse into #14 ,now I have A/c again....These are the two side by side fuses under the hood...Numbers 14 and 15.

Any ideas on what the problem is and can long and can i drive the car like this and without cooling fan fuse?

Thanks

As long as you keep moving... it will overheat sitting in traffic with no radiator fan. Likely the A/C fuse blew because the condenser fan was jammed, it's on the same fuse.

Check the battery voltage with car running, blowing bulbs all of a sudden could be because of excessive voltage from the alternator. Should be 14 - 14.5 volts or so, over 15 definitely a problem.

How do I check it?

Another thing is I think there's a short somewhere because the low beams were out when I bought the car 3 years ago but now it seems to have come back, not sure that is a probable answer but last month I started having issues with the car starting. I would turn the key and not even hear a click (it would eventually start) and when I did that with the headlights on they would still be bright so I took the ignition switch apart and cleaned and reactive greased it...

Then on the trip I was trying to tune stations with the after market CD player for like an hour. The radio is somewhat insecure and the installation was a bit flimsy so its possible any wiring in that area could be the cause.???

I love this car but it might be time to find another..Just had the timing belt/water pump last year and performance exhaust
