Exclamation Air Bag Help!

hey, im new to this forum. im an owner of a 2004 Honda Civic Coupe VP(not by choice). i recently got into an accident and my air bags went. i went on ebay to look for air bags at a good price, and found one.

but my question is that the ad says the bags come from a 2002 and it fits 2001-05. would the bags fit my 2004? i really need help please

I asked my friend and he said only 03-05 civic airbag will fit your year, he said the wireing harness is diff in the 01-02
But if i was you i would call the Honda dealership just to double check.

is there a way to change the wireing harness? and i didnt buy it from a dealer, it was a gift. thank you for your help

no i would not change the harness.... the harness consists of ALOT of wires and full clock spring. just keep looking if your unsure. or go to your local dealership and ask the guy at the parts counter.... i prefer to go there in person rather than a phone cal myself but if its to far for you to drive then just call.

and be sure the interior code color is the same as yours just to make sure the color material matches your dash so it doesnt look out of place. not sure of your newer civic but i know my 99 had afew dark colors for the bag.

You also have to replace the SRS ECU (airbag control unit) they are one time use only.
