Question Alarm going of randamley

hello i brought a Honda civic 1.6i ls 1996 my battery dies the other day and since this day my alarm has been going off randomly also on the read door there is a sensor to let you know that the door is shut some times this flickers the alarm is standard


the other thing is the abs light comes on then comes off rampantly

what do you think could be the problem thanks

Check the door switch, if it's flakey that will trigger the alarm because it sees a wrong signal from the switch and thinks that someone has opened the door.

Check for bad connections at the battery. You also could disconnect the battery for several minutes (with the key off) then reconnect it to reset everything.

Iv just took a proper look and it looks like it has had a new rear Quarter on and the door is not aligned I think this could be the reason!!! Why my alarm is going off

Yes it sounds like you need to tweak the door a little so the switch is pressed fully when it is closed. Or add a pad or spacer to press the switch button.

This problem is now sorted!! Put a spacer on door thanks for the help!!!!!

NOW ways to stop the door lock from freezing because when I brought the car I only got one key it didn't come with the keyless entry fob for alarm???
