Alignment Problem, Need Help
I have a 1998 ex coupe. I took my snow tires off a week ago and the right side tires are really wearing bad. I took the car to local Honda dealership for alignment. They said i need a new knuckle, wheel bearing and wheel hub. Is this the only way to correct the alignment? Does this sound correct? I can do everything myself but the alignment. Just want to make sure these are the correct parts to order.
This was what Honda told me to replace to correct the alignment issue. Just seems strange to me. I guess there is no adjustment on the front end. So the only way to correct is with new parts. I wanted some expert advice before purchasing the parts.
The only adjustment in the front would be toe. You can usually brute-force yourself a tenth of a degree or so of camber, but not enough to correct an issue.
I don't see why they'd be replacing your knuckle, though, unless you smashed the crap out of a curb.

Yea they asked if the car had been in an accident but that is not the case. I am the original owner. Then asked if I hit a pot hole. Sure but don't recall. I cannot see any tweaking of the knuckle. Looks fine to me but I guess it could be just slightly bent. I guess this is how Honda would get the alignment to specs. I there a good online parts place to get parts?
