another prob. help
damit, ok so just when i though i got all the problems fixed, another one pops up. when i make a right turn there is a 'knock' (axel?) and also when im driving there is that same knock (everytime the wheel rotates) and i can feel a little vibration in the peal. is this due to a bad axel? or something worse? also, if i drive on it, will it make other things worse?...im only driving to school and back and if i can hold off on getting this fixed until my next paycheck that would be better, but i dont ant a whel to fall off or anything. any input from you guys?...oh and how much you think to get this fixed? thanks!
yes. it's most likely your front axle. turn your wheels all the way to one side and check to see if your cv boot is torn and for grease all over the place. It's mostlikely the inner boot. cheek a couple threads back for a knocking sound. this problem is common in fwd cars. especially civics. As for the price Labor should cost you about 150 plus parts axle can range from 80-150 bucks. you don't have to go all out with the axle, but spend the little bit extra and save yourself some hassle in the long run. you can get it either from kragen or pep boys, or wherever you take your car to should be able to get one and install it for you. Good Luck!
