my car was running fine all day ( i was only out for about 2 hours ).....and then all of a sudden my car starts hopping? as if the tranny was slipping? so i pulled over checked oil etc. and everything is fine......i let the car sit and when i turned it on and drove away it was fine? but then started sputtering again kinda...and sometimes wouldent even go into gear i would just roll...i had to bay it the whole way home doing about 30mph....my cars a 96 dx A/T ...is it slipping? or maybe i need a new tranny filter n some new oil?.......i checked the oil n it was fine but maybe i should get it changed anyway?

 

yeah change the fluid ---its about all u can do ----make sure u use genuine honda fluid or if u use regular a.t.f. use a "friction modifyer"

 

im hoping thats all i have to do cuz im broke...just bought rims n fenders

took the car to honda....flushed my tranny 3 times took extra good care of it....now shes back on the road and runnin good cost me $150 though....but it was worth it

 

For future reference, most honda trannys run better on regular motor oil than they do with gear oil from what i hear

 

i think its an auto. in which case, DONT USE MOTOR OIL.
